Ever since I can remember my world has revolved around anything with wheels and an engine. I am a third generation mechanic and racecar driver, so it was merely tradition when at the age of 4 I started racing go karts. Little did I know, it would take me on the journey of a lifetime. I have traveled all over the country to race, competing in different divisions and varying levels of competition I have gained a lot of experience already at 18 years old. My dream has always been, and always will be, to drive at the premier level of the sport in NASCAR. That being said I am already living a dream. In August I moved from Ellsworth, Maine to Charlotte, North Carolina to study Mechanical Engineering at UNC Charlotte. Being right in the heart of racing is more than I could have ever hoped for. While my family is still in Maine they are still very much involved in my racing career, as my two stock cars are housed in the shop of our family business K&B Automotive. Without them I would not have made it to where I am today, competing at the super late model ranks against drivers I grew up watching on the Pro All Star Series. I am very fortunate to be able to do what I love, and I owe all of it to my family. The support from them is endless, especially from my father and grandfather who work tirelessly to prepare my cars and teach me everything they know. Racing certainly has its highs and lows, but as a family grind through them. When you work hard to achieve a goal and the hard work pays off, the lows make the highs higher. I believe with the support of a great company like Valvoline, a brand that has deep roots in the sport just like me, myself and my family run race team can do great things. “A journey a thousand miles begins with a single step.” -Lao Tzu I am ready for the next step of the journey.
